Dr. Md Mamun Bin Ibne Reaz is a Professor at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Technology, Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Malaysia. He obtained his Ph.D. in VLSI Design from Ibaraki University, Japan, and M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Applied Physics and Electronics from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. His academic journey spans prestigious institutions such as UKM, IIUM, and MMU in Malaysia, and IUB in Bangladesh, where he also served as Dean. Prof. Reaz has authored over 400 refereed articles, seven books, and nine book chapters. He holds two patents with nine more filed. His research focuses on VLSI design, biomedical engineering, and AI-powered smart systems. With over 70 funded research projects totaling USD 4 million, his work is widely recognized, including listings among the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University (2020–2024). He has delivered 20+ keynote/plenary talks and supervised more than 50 postgraduate students. His scholarly impact includes 18,000+ citations with an h-index of 48 on Google Scholar, and 10,000+ citations with an h-index of 40 on Scopus. An active contributor to international academia, he is affiliated with ICTP, Italy, and serves on editorial boards of multiple scientific journals.
